A look back at the Lab Rennes St Malo programme

Lab Rennes St Malo is a support programme dedicated to experimentation, which allows an innovation to be tested in real conditions of use. The activity report presented on September 21 to the Strategic Committee highlighted the 21 companies supported by the LAB over the past two years, with 8 new projects financially supported by the Experimentation Fund since January 2023.

Varied fields of experimentation

Cutback Sports has experimented with its new organic foam bar sourced with Knauf Industrie and now markets ecologically responsible surfboards.

Allyconie has tested its virtual cyber shelter with the IT department of Rennes Métropole and is preparing an upcoming deployment in France.

Blue Market has validated its stock resale platform with the Technicentre SNCF and has since won the 2022 New Ideas Trophy for its innovation at the service of manufacturers.

For the past few months, the Lab has been supporting the deeptech startup Agriodor for an ongoing test of its odorous biocontrol repellent on peach orchards.

The green space agents of the cities of Saint-Malo and Rennes Métropole are currently testing the Boom software for referencing trees in the city developed by the company Aubépine.

AGWI is currently testing the effectiveness of its bio-based phosphorus-based fertiliser on sports fields made available by the city of Rennes before a national roll-out in early 2024.

Since August, the inhabitants of the municipality of Monterfil have been discovering the Viabeez solution, which gives them access to health professionals on the move. They report their opinions and thus participate in the improvement of the patient journey.

The Lab has helped the company Station REV in its search for land and the Dol-de-Bretagne Town Hall will install an electric touring bike station on the forecourt of the station from March 2024. It was an opportunity for the people of Rennes and Saint-Malo to take the train to Dol and visit the local heritage by bike. They will share their experience as testers of this new offer so that the company can refine its service before launching it on the market.
