Senior Cyber Crisis Management Consultant
Alcyconie is growing, and so is our Consulting practice! To support our development, we are looking for new talent ready to take on new challenges alongside us.
Since its founding, Alcyconie has grown around a unique positioning: combining high-level expertise, innovation, and operational excellence in support of business continuity and cyber crisis management.
As part of this growth momentum, the Senior Cyber Crisis Management Consultant holds a strategic role within the company. You take charge of complex and strategic engagements for major private-sector accounts and public bodies, and work directly with their CISOs, CIOs, business line leaders, management boards, and executive committees on their cyber crisis management, crisis communication, and business continuity challenges.
As the lead on your engagements, you are accountable for their smooth delivery, the quality of the work produced, and the client relationship. You are able to quickly grasp a complex environment, challenge a need, structure an approach, and advocate Alcyconie’s recommendations to senior stakeholders.
You also contribute to the upskilling of more junior consultants and, more broadly, to the development of Alcyconie’s methods, offerings, and expertise.
The position thus offers considerable autonomy and a high level of responsibility and visibility, in strategic and sometimes particularly sensitive environments.
WHAT WE OFFER
You independently lead high-stakes consulting and support engagements, from scoping the client’s needs through to the final debrief with the client.
In particular, you work on:
- Steering complex crisis management and cyber resilience consulting engagements, ensuring proper scoping and delivery, deliverable quality, adherence to commitments, and client satisfaction;
- Defining, auditing, and optimizing crisis management programs: governance, doctrines, activation schemes, procedures, action cards, decision-support tools, etc.;
- Designing and running complex crisis exercises, notably multi-cell exercises and those involving management boards or executive committees, from strategic scoping through to the post-exercise review and the definition of improvement plans;
- Supporting executives and crisis cells in preparing for sensitive or severely degraded situations;
- Defining business continuity strategies, conducting BIAs, and designing or enhancing BCPs;
- Providing operational support to our clients in implementing their programs and maintaining their operational readiness;
- Taking part in supporting our clients during real-life crises, assisting crisis cells and their decision-makers;
- Delivering training courses, workshops, and awareness sessions for expert or executive audiences;
- Coordinating and supporting the consultants working alongside you on the engagements you are responsible for;
- Contributing to the development and continuous improvement of our methodologies, offerings, and tools;
- Taking part in pre-sales phases, notably through needs analysis, building methodological approaches, and presenting and defending our proposals;
- Contributing to developing relationships with certain strategic clients by identifying their new challenges and needs;
- Producing and personally presenting high-value content: articles, white papers, conference talks, post-incident reviews, and professional speaking engagements.
The position is based in Saint-Malo or at the Campus Cyber in Paris La Défense! Remote work is of course possible, and the role involves regular travel.
Contract type: permanent contract (CDI).
WHAT DEFINES YOU
- You have 5 to 8 years of professional experience, including significant experience in consulting or supporting organizations on crisis management, business continuity, cyber resilience, or GRC issues;
- You have a firm grasp of the fundamentals of crisis management and business continuity, and a solid understanding of cybersecurity issues;
- You have already led engagements autonomously, from scoping through to the final debrief;
- You are used to working directly with clients and know how to build lasting relationships of trust;
- You are able to interact with CISOs, CIOs, business line leaders, management boards, and executive committees, adapt your messaging, and advocate recommendations to experienced stakeholders;
- You are able to work across different business sectors and adapt your messaging to the organizational and operational realities of the clients you support;
- You know how to step back from a client request, challenge it when necessary, and turn a sometimes loosely structured problem into a relevant support approach;
- You are able to coordinate less experienced consultants and help them grow, while remaining fully involved in delivering engagements;
- You demonstrate a high level of rigor, reliability, and exacting standards in the work you are responsible for;
- You know how to operate in confidential and sensitive environments that require discretion, sound judgment, and composure;
- You have excellent writing skills and are truly at ease speaking in public;
- You are comfortable in an international professional environment and have a very good command of English, both written and spoken;
- ISO 22301 certification or PACS qualification is a plus.
