Alcyconie in Albania at the MEAE

Last December, Alcyconie intervened as part of a joint mission with the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Council of Europe to carry out a cyber crisis exercise in Tirana, Albania, for the benefit of investigators, prosecutors and members of CERTs from the Balkan countries!

This visit brought together representatives of many Balkan countries, Albania, Serbia, Kosovo, Ukraine, Turkey, Romania, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Kazakhstan and aimed to strengthen the resilience capacities of the various partner countries.
This cyber-based crisis management training was carried out for investigators, prosecutors and members of the CERT of the Balkan countries. The diversity of the countries present brought an invaluable richness to the exchanges and made it possible to strengthen the ties of cooperation between the participants.

A day dedicated to training and role-playing

During this mission, we combined knowledge transmission and concrete practice around cyber crisis management. Interactive training allowed participants – investigators, prosecutors and CERT members – to explore the challenges specific to cyber crises and to acquire the key reflexes to deal with them methodically and resiliently.

In a second phase, a simulation exercise brought together representatives of several countries around a realistic crisis scenario. This collective work made it possible to test the responsiveness of a decision-making unit, to build a strategic action plan, and to underline the importance of international cooperation in a context where digital threats do not stop at borders.

A project anchored in a regional strategy

Our intervention is part of a broader strategy, supported by initiatives such as the Western Balkans Cyber Capacity Centre ( WB3C ), which aims to strengthen international cooperation and cyber crisis management capabilities in the Balkan countries.

We are proud to contribute to projects of this nature, by raising awareness, training and supporting cyber players.

Cybersecurity: cooperating to better protect

We are proud to include this action in concrete projects that help build more robust collective responses to digital risks.

Raising awareness, training, supporting : it is through these levers that we contribute, at our level, to strengthening the resilience of digital ecosystems.

This mission marks an important milestone, and we remain fully committed to advancing this collective momentum, in the service of a safer, more sustainable and cooperative digital future.

Key partners for a successful mission

A huge thank you to the participants for their mobilization and trust. And a special thank you to our partners Gilles Schwoerer, French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Tatiana Bastrighin, Cristian Medelean, Ervina Gjana and Ana Vlad of the Council Of Europe for the organization and implementation of this mission, as well as to Rayan Le Calloch and Cédric Nagel, who have supported our commitment to cyber resilience and shared our know-how in cyber crisis management.
