Alcyconie receives total funding of €3.4m

Saint-Malo, France, 20 February 2024 – Alcyconie, the French specialist in cyber resilience and cyber crisis management preparedness, has received €1.4m in non-dilutive financing from a banking pool comprising Bpifrance and two banks, with a local dimension with Caisse d’Epargne Bretagne and an international dimension with BNP PARIBAS.

This brings the French company to the end of its €3.4 million financing package, which began with a €2 million financing round from CyberK1, the investment vehicle of Klecha & Co.

Alcyconie has big ambitions for the coming years

Founded in 2018 by Stéphanie Ledoux, Alcyconie supports all organisations in their cyber resilience strategy by preparing them for crisis management through consultancy, training and practice in managing cyber crises in real-life situations.

2023 was a year of strong growth for Alcyconie:

  • 135 cyber crisis simulation exercises in France and abroad on its PIA® training platform with organisations of all sizes and in all sectors of activity, in particular OIVs (operators of vital importance) and OSEs (essential service operators), local authorities and health bodies, as well as industrial and financial players.
  • A reinforced team of 22 people (8 in 2022), distributed between the Alcyconie headquarters in Saint-Malo and the Cyber Campus in Paris-La Défense. Several new hires are planned for the product, consulting and marketing teams in 2024.

Since its creation, Alcyconie has trained 2,500 people in cyber crisis management. The company currently supports more than 90 clients, including major French and international organisations, and aims to become the European leader in cyber resilience.

These new investments will enable Alcyconie to strengthen its consulting activities and to enhance its offering with the launch of a unique cyber crisis management platform tailored to degraded situations. This SaaS solution will enable organisations to communicate and organise themselves quickly in the event of an attack on their information systems.

Adeline Manneheut – Innovation Business Manager at Caisse d’Epargne Bretagne said:
“We are delighted to support Alcyconie in its ambition to develop in France and internationally in areas as critical as the resilience of organisations to cyber attacks.”

Alcyconie wins the confidence of prestigious French investors

French company Alcyconie, which is equity funded by its founder and CEO, Stéphanie Ledoux, has raised €2 million in 2023 from Cyber K1 (Klecha & Co’s investment vehicle) with a minority stake.

Stéphane Klecha – founder and chairman of investment bank Klecha & Co – said: “Alcyconie’s acceleration phase and its ability to attract the interest of major financial players are excellent signals for the cybersecurity ecosystem in France and the resilience of European organisations.”

Stéphanie Ledoux – CEO of Alcyconie concludes: “We are delighted to have found such prestigious partners to support our development ambitions: the international dimension of BNP PARIBAS, the support of a spearhead of innovation such as Bpifrance and the local roots of Caisse d’Epargne are invaluable assets for achieving our goals in France and internationally”.
